Located just north of St. Helena, Calistoga is the northern most city in Napa county. The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Calistoga a Distinctive Destination in 2001 which helps the tow retain its rural charm. Its downtown looks much as it did over 100 years ago in the gold rush days. The city is one of the few places in the wine country where large land tracts are still available.
